new house

New month but still no new house

Well July was hectic. Owen got his 2 mo. shots on the 14th. That same day he decided to roll over, he started that while on the exam table at the doctors. Thank goodness the nurse was there to catch him. Both her and I were quite impressed.
Regarding the house...we're supposed to close yesterday, but everything wasn't ready. So here we are without a house and not knowing when we are going to close. Jay took his last vacation day in order to move, so we decided to go visit his mom. She hasn't seen the kids since Owen was born. It is nice to get away for a while. Owen's been miserable. Poor guy is teething already. Thank goodness Jay's mom is willing to help with him and give us a break. Today, we took Evan to Helton Falls. Evan is doing so good on potty and really had to go, so he communed with nature for the first time today. It was hilarious. After visiting the waterfall, we went to Vogel State Park and went Paddleboating. it was nice but uncomfortable in the life jackets. After returning to Nena's house, Evan had a blast feeding the fish at the river. Overall today was a fabulous day. Wish I could give the kids days like this everyday!!!

Things have been quite hectic with getting the new house and the little ones. I thought I would have a chance to write something, but unfortunately the little one has woken up. Anyway, I did want to make mention of Owen's first smile. It happened last Tuesday, June 23rd (picture to follow). Its hard to believe that he is already 8 weeks old. Time is flying. Evan is such a wonderful and loving big brother. I hope Owen appreciates the great love that his brother has for him. Until later...

My friends went home to Sweden :( I wish I c0uld have kept them here. Call me selfish, but I really have missed their company. The past couple of weeks have spoiled me. I forgot how nice it felt to have a great friend at my fingertips. One day I hope we will be closer. Unfortunately until then, I will keep my good friends Maria and David in my heart. At least I know they are always here, even if at a distance. Lots of Love for David, Maria, Danielle, and Eric.

Day One

trying something new. Hopefully everyone will enjoy keeping up with the Cooper's. My dear friend Maria has a fabulous blog and has inspired me to record my family's adventures. Also inspiring is Owen, my 5 week old. I realized that I do not have a good record of Evan growing up. I do not want to forget any little details. This way I hope I can look back and have a good record of my two baby boys.
